3 Advanced Safety Features in the 2025 Ford Lineup

Ford Co-Pilot360 is an advanced driver assistance suite designed to alert you to potential dangers while driving. As your Ford dealership, we want to tell you more about some of its advanced safety features that you’ll find in 2025 Ford models.

From Your Ford Dealership: 3 Advanced Safety Features in the 2025 Ford Lineup

Blind Spot Assist

This system is a game-changer for changing lanes safely. Blind spots have always been dangerous, as it’s often difficult to see if a vehicle enters one, and once inside a blind spot, that vehicle is effectively invisible. This is particularly true on highways, as higher speeds give you less chance to avoid an accident if a car that you couldn’t see is already in the lane you’re about to enter..

Radar sensors are installed on the rear sides of your Ford, and they continually monitor your blind zones. If a vehicle enters one, a yellow icon will appear on the corresponding side mirror to alert you. If you’re already changing lanes when a vehicle is detected, you’ll hear a warning tone, and your steering wheel will tug to alert you to turn back into your lane until the danger has passed.

Cross-Traffic Alert

This feature uses the same radar sensors, but it activates when you’re reversing. They scan the area in arcs to the left, right, and directly behind for approaching vehicles, people, or objects. If the sensors identify any movement, they provide several warnings. A flashing icon will appear on one of your rearview mirrors, you’ll hear an audible tone, and another warning will appear on your information screen to identify the direction of movement.

Reverse Brake Assist works with this system to make reversing even safer. If you’ve been alerted to danger and your Ford continues to reverse, this system will automatically apply the brakes to prevent a collision.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)

This innovative cruise control allows you to set a following speed and distance from other vehicles. Once you enter your preferences and activate ACC, it uses radar and a camera to monitor any car in front of you, and it will automatically slow down if the other vehicle reduces speed. ACC includes two other complementary technologies: Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering.

Stop-and-Go will automatically bring your Ford to a smooth stop if the vehicle ahead of you stops, and it will restart your engine and return to your previously selected speed and following distance once the other vehicle moves again. Lane Centering uses information from the camera and radar to identify yellow and white lane boundary lines. It will warn you if your Ford moves toward the lines and you’re not actively steering.
